  2. Control Panel – Adjust conversion settings.
  3. Preview Area – See original image and SVG result.

You can upload an image in two ways:

  1. Drag & Drop:
Drag your image file into the “Drag & Drop Image Here” area.
  2. Click to Upload:
Click inside the drop area to open a file browser and select your image.

Supported image formats: PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF.
The tool automatically scales large images to a maximum width/height of 1200 pixels for optimal performance.

Tip: After uploading, the status bar below the controls will show the image’s size in KB.

3. Conversion Settings

The control panel allows you to customize the conversion:

a) Color Mode

  • Color: Converts the image while preserving its colors.
  • Black & White: Converts the image to monochrome (grayscale).

b) Color Count

  • Determines how many colors to use in the SVG output.
  • Works only when Color Mode is set to “Color.”
  • Default: 8
  • Range: 2–32

Tip: Higher color count results in a more detailed SVG but may increase file size.

c) Detail Level

  • Controls how detailed the SVG tracing is.
  • Range: 0.5 (low) to 5 (high)
  • Higher values capture more detail but may take longer to process.

4. Converting an Image

  1. Adjust the Color Mode, Color Count, and Detail Level as needed.
  2. Click the Convert to SVG button.
  3. The tool will generate the SVG, displaying it in the SVG Result preview box.
  4. The status bar updates with the size of the original image and the generated SVG.

Tip: Wait a few seconds for large images to process.

5. Action Buttons

Once conversion is complete, several actions are available:

a) Download SVG

  • Click Download SVG to save the converted image as an .svg file.

b) Copy SVG

  • Click Copy SVG to copy the raw SVG code to your clipboard.
  • You can paste it into HTML files or vector graphic editors.

c) Copy <img> Tag

  • Click Copy <img> Tag to copy an HTML <img> tag with the SVG encoded as Base64.
  • Useful for embedding SVG directly in web pages.

d) View SVG Code

  • Click View SVG Code to see the raw SVG markup in a textarea.
  • Toggle visibility on/off.

6. Preview Area

  • Original – Shows the uploaded image.
  • SVG Result – Shows the generated vector image.

Tip: SVG images scale without losing quality, unlike raster images.

7. Status Display

  • Located under the buttons.
  • Displays:
    • Uploaded image size (KB)
    • Conversion status
    • Generated SVG size (KB)

Example: Converted! Original: 350.2 KB, SVG: 48.7 KB

8. Best Practices

  1. Image Size: Keep images below 5 MB for smooth performance.
  2. Color Count & Detail: Adjust sliders for balance between quality and file size.
  3. Black & White Mode: Use for logos, sketches, or monochrome illustrations.
  4. SVG Preview: Always check the preview before downloading or copying.

9. Limitations

  • Animated GIFs are not fully supported; only the first frame is converted.
  • Extremely large images may take longer to process.
  • Base64 embedding via <img> tag may produce large HTML strings for very high-resolution images.
